Repetitive words & phrases that show up in fanfiction that I absolutely loathe:

yelped
sauntered
giggled
he went over the edge (sexual reference. please just use orgasm instead)
take me
attack his throat (sexual reference. are they punching their neck or something?)

Have a brilliant idea/story and then completely forget about it. FML.

I still don't understand how amazing writers get overlooked and receive less than five comments worth of feedback but when you glance over works that are poorly written, organized and have shitty smut, that isn't even worth an erection, it manages to get + 9000 comments?
